Wyoming Alcohol and Crime Briefs

Courtesy of a grant through the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police conducted a three-year study on alcohol misuse and crime in ten jurisdictions and involving over 30,000 arrestees. They found that 69 percent of all crimes involved alcohol misuse, and that the percentage of crimes involving alcohol misuse was trending upward. Read the report »

The legislature passed a law requiring interlocks for first DUI offenders with BACs of .15 or higher and for repeat offenders.
