- The Governor signed several bills recommended by the Louisiana Sentencing Commission the impact probation and parole. Most notably, he signed HB 415, authorizing probation and parole officials to impose administrative sanctions (including short term jail where appropriate) for technical violations and HB 416, expanding parole opportunities to most offenders who complete 25% of their sentence.
