Janice Bloom

Janice S. Bloom, Esq.

General Counsel

Janice Bloom serves as General Counsel for NPAMC. Prior to formally representing the interests of non-profits, she practiced with major law firms in Dallas and Fort Worth, TX, and then was in-house council within the corporate sector. Her areas of practice included litigation, corporate transactions, lease agreements, software licensing agreements, intellectual property, and employment law.

Janice’s passion for superior representation to the non-profit environment began when she became General Counsel to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in 2001. There, she provided efficient counsel to MADD’s senior management, staff, and volunteers at all levels of the organization − from the national office to nearly 600 affiliates throughout the United States. She also assisted with the preparation of several amicus briefs on issues affecting the organization’s mission, one of which was filed with the Supreme Court of the United States.

Janice’s personal mission statement towards representing non-profits is that “Every donor dollar that I can save the organization in legal expenses, [is] one more dollar that can be spent on the organization’s mission.” She continues that mission today in her private practice to non-profit organizations.

Janice earned her Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and a Master of Science degree from the University of North Texas.
